Research Interest

I study some of the biggest open questions in physics: what dark matter is made of, why neutrinos behave so strangely, and how quantum information is processed by black holes.  Much of this research is done with Loyola undergraduates, who learn to build models of the early universe and do calculations to simulate dark matter systems, neutrino interactions, and black hole horizons. No prior research experience is needed, and many of my former students have gone on to PhD programs in physics, astronomy, and engineering. You can read more about it on my webpage:
