Jordan Daley
Assistant Professor
Dr. Jordan Daley earned his PhD in Social Psychology at Northwestern University, before completing a faculty fellowship at New York University. At Loyola, he directs the Identities, Social Perceptions and Impressions (I-SPI) lab. The ISPI lab has various projects related to the psychological mechanisms that drive people’s decisions about what (and who) they like and do not like. Dr. Daley is especially interested in the way that identities and visible features influence motivations, impressions, and attitudes. With a focus on social cognitive process, he uses innovative experimental and statistical techniques to unpack the interplay between what we see, what we like, and what we believe, and seeks to position his research to answer questions with relevant, real-world implications.
